New Year resolutions – do you do them?

If you don’t do them… then you can probably skip this post….

But if you do – it would be interesting to why New Year’s Resolutions for your business are a great idea.

Why make resolutions?

A New Year’s resolution is a promise a person makes for the new year. Regardless of what resolution you commit to, the goal is to improve life in the coming year.

Resolutions can come in many forms. Some people make a promise to change a bad habit, such as quitting smoking or eating less junk food.

Other people make a promise to develop a positive habit, such as starting an exercise program, volunteering in their community or recycling more.

The tradition of New Year’s resolutions dates all the way back to 153 B.C. January is named after Janus, a mythical god of early Rome.

  • Volunteer to Help Others
  • Quit Smoking
  • Get a Better Education
  • Get a Better Job
  • Save Money
  • Get Fit
  • Eat Healthy Food
  • Manage Stress
  • Manage Debt

  • Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
  • Drink Less Alcohol

Now if you are a business owner – you may have separate resolutions for you and your business would probably be: Attracting customers – Improving work/life balance – Being more organized

Here are 6 other reasons to consider:

  2. Get rid of dead wood
  3. Meet people face-to-face
  4. Lean one new skill
  5. Understand your finances
  6. Take time for yourself
